Title: The Muslim Parents Handbook: 95 Proven Strategies to Heal Disconnection and Raise Capable Confident Kids
Author: Wajma Alocozy Babak
ISBN : 9798994505212
Publisher: For Muslimahs

Parenting Muslim children in today’s world can feel overwhelming. Screens everywhere. Conflicting values. Constant guilt about “doing it wrong.” If you’re afraid your child might grow up disconnected from Islam or from you, The Muslim Parent’s Handbook is written for you.

Standing alongside trusted works like The Whole-Brain Child, Raising Good Humans, and The Conscious Parent, this book takes modern psychology and emotional intelligence and blends it with faith-based wisdom.

Wajma Alocozy Babak, Certified Parent and Women’s Transformational Coach and mother of four, brings over sixteen years of experience in parenting, homeschooling, and coaching Muslim families worldwide. She cuts through shame-based advice and fear-driven discipline to offer practical, proven tools that actually work in real homes.

In The Muslim Parent’s Handbook, you’ll discover how to:

  • Heal emotional disconnection and build secure parent-child bonds
  • Discipline without yelling, threats, or endless power struggles
  • Raise emotionally resilient children who feel safe, heard, and confident
  • Foster a genuine love for deen through warmth, love, and connection, rather than fear
  • Reduce sibling conflict and create a calmer, more cooperative home

This book is a powerful resource for raising capable, confident Muslim kids while preserving sanity, faith, and love in your home in a world that constantly pulls families apart.

About the author:

Wajma Alocozy Babak is a Certified Parent Educator, Women's Transformational Coach, founder of For Muslimahs, a platform dedicated to helping Muslim mothers become the best versions of themselves so they can raise strong, connected families with deep roots in their deen, and author of The Muslim Parent's Handbook.

Born in Afghanistan and raised in the Netherlands, Wajma brings a rare and richly layered perspective to the world of Muslim parenting. Having navigated the experience of raising a family across cultures and in a non-Islamic society, she understands firsthand the unique pressures, fears, and hopes that Muslim parents carry, particularly those raising children in the West. She now lives in Denver, Colorado, where she and her husband are raising and homeschooling their four children, a journey that has been the greatest classroom of her life.

With over sixteen years of experience as a mother and homeschooler, Wajma's knowledge is not theoretical. It is lived, tested, and refined through the daily realities of raising children, through the mistakes, the breakthroughs, the tearful nights, and the moments of profound joy that only a parent knows. This lived experience, combined with her professional training and years of working with thousands of families around the world, is what makes her approach both credible and deeply human.

Wajma's methodology is intentionally holistic. She draws on the timeless wisdom of the Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (saw), modern brain science, and evidence-based psychology to offer Muslim parents a framework that is both spiritually grounded and practically actionable. She firmly believes that lasting change in the home begins not with fixing children, but with equipping and transforming the parent, and that when a mother grows, the entire family feels it.
